Under the following four pillars, DueNORTH works towards short and long-term solutions for eliminating food insecurity in Canada’s Far North.
All That Glam is our major annual fundraiser where donations of pre-loved jewelry and handbags are up-cycled and sold at bargain prices. Over the past six years, All that Glam has become one of Ottawa’s most-anticipated holiday season events.
From our students’ work fundraising at Ottawa high schools to campus club events at McGill and Acadia University, to our major fundraiser in Ottawa, DueNORTH is raising funds, and awareness, anyway possible.
We believe in engaging in collaborative philanthropy and involving the children of the community we serve. To support their breakfast programs, Northern youth create and send artwork for us to share at our All That Glam Fundraiser.
Raising awareness about food insecurity is essential for generating support and promoting understanding of the current situation in the North.
Through our fundraisers, media exposure, and speaking engagements, our message is reaching citizens who are able to make a difference for their fellow Canadians.
We speak regularly about our work to corporations, organizations and legislative bodies as we look constantly to raise support and awareness.
In order to improve the lives of Northern children, a dialogue between the North and South is required. We seize every opportunity to celebrate Inuit culture and empower the Northern communities.
